Notifications & Emails

What we notify you about, when each email arrives, and how to choose which alerts you get by push and email.

Choosing Your Alerts

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  2. Under Alert Preferences, use the Push and Email switches next to each type of alert.
  3. Your changes save as you go. Push settings apply to every device you've turned push on for.

Every alert starts out on. If the push switches are greyed out, you haven't turned on push notifications on any device yet. See below.

For follow alerts (sellers, models and variants), we send a push if you have push turned on and an email if you don't, so you hear about new gear once rather than twice.

Emails You Can't Turn Off

Emails about your own orders, offers, shipments and payouts always send, since they're about money and deadlines. That includes order confirmations, shipping updates, offer and counter-offer emails, offer expiry reminders, review requests and payday emails.

Unsubscribing From Marketing Emails

Marketing emails, such as the newsletter, price drops, follow alerts and announcements, include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing that way stops all marketing emails at once and doesn't change your switches in settings. To stop just one type, turn off its Email switch instead.

Turning On Push Notifications

Push notifications reach you the moment something happens, like a new order, an offer or a message.

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  2. Press Enable Notifications.
  3. Choose Allow when your browser asks.

Push is turned on one device at a time, so repeat this on your phone and your computer. We'll also offer to turn it on for you the first time you visit while signed in.

On iPhone And iPad

Apple only allows web notifications once Paintball Vault is on your Home Screen:

  1. Open Paintball Vault in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  3. Open Paintball Vault from your Home Screen and turn on notifications when asked.

If Notifications Are Blocked

If you said no to the browser prompt earlier, your browser blocks the request. Open your browser's site settings for pbvault.com, set Notifications to Allow, then come back and press Enable Notifications. For the Home Screen app on iPhone, go to the iPhone's Settings > Notifications > Paintball Vault.

To stop push on a device, press Disable Notifications on that device.

If a seller doesn't accept within 72 hours, the order cancels automatically and the buyer's payment is released. See Cancellations & Refunds.
